Certified Ice Competitions - All Weekend

Professional Ice Carving Competitions on Friday evening and on Saturday from 8am-4pm. Friday's Individual Competition will begin at 5:30-7:30pm all along State St - watch the carvers magically turn frozen blocks into works of art! 

Fire & Ice Tower Display - Friday at 7:30pm (Immediately Following Individual Competition)
Join us at the official kickoff to our 12th Annual Magical Ice Fest weekend. Guests will view a breathtaking display of fire and ice. Location will be at State and Pleasant Streets.

Fire and Ice Party at Shadowland - Friday Night

3rd Annual Ice Fest 5k Chocolate Walk/Run 
presented by the Sunset Coast Striders - Saturday

Fourth Annual ICE WARS! - Saturday 4:30-6pm
Located at State and Pleasant Streets, watch pro carvers duel it out in 15 minute bouts of ice-carving chaos! The crowd is the judge for this event as these carvers go head to head to see who can create the best sculpture the fastest.

Snow Biz Scavenger Hunt - All Weekend
Hunt all of our logo sculptures in and around downtown and be entered to win a St. Joseph Today Gift Certificate good at more than 40 locations! Stop in the Welcome Center to get a copy of the scavenger hunt form and learn the fun details. The hunt is available Friday through Sunday of the Ice Festival.

Magical Fun - Saturday
Join local magician John Dudley as he visits several downtown attractions and performs a variety of magic. He is sure to be entertaining for all ages.

Who doesn’t love a good trick or treat? I know that I do and it looks like many of our area attractions and businesses do too! Everything from chunking pumpkins to trekking dark trails to dressing as zombies is going on right here. Did you know that Michigan’s Great Southwest is home to almost 30 wineries and tasting rooms as well as acres upon acres of vineyards? In fact, 45% of Michigan’s grapes are grown here in the southwest region of the Mitten State.  Although many of us hate to say it, fall is just around the corner, which means the grape harvest season is upon us!
