Join us for Robin Fountain's last concert with the SMSO. During his 14 years with the Southwest Michigan Symphony, Maestro Fountain has led a transformation of the orchestra’s performance level, repertoire and scope, with the ensemble now boasting a summer series (the Water’s Edge) a choral partnership (the Symphony Chorus) and a teaching program for underserved youngsters (Music Makers). His tenure at the SMSO has been characterized by bold, varied and innovative collaboration with other artists and groups. 

The SMSO will provide the score to another one of astronomer Jose Salgado’s breathtaking Science and Symphony films. Also featured will be The Lake Michigan Youth Orchestra performing side-by-side with SMSO.

Program includes: Debussy, “Nocturnes” featuring Jose Salgado’s breathtaking science and symphony “KV 265 Filmthe Southwest Michigan Symphony Female Chorus and Shostakovich, “Symphony No. 5”.

A pre-concert conversation will occur at 3pm, with the show starting at 4pm.
