The Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra along with soloist Kathryne Salo will dazzle on Ibert’s virtuosic flute concerto. Kathryne Salo, a Miyazawa Emerging Artist, performs as Principal Flute for the Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra and Piccoloist of Lansing Symphony Orchestra. She also serves as Instructor of Flute at Kellogg Community College and teaches at Ada Conservatory of Music. In 2017, she completed her DMA at Michigan State University. As a soloist, Kathryne has performed with the MSU Symphony, the University of Tennessee Symphony, and Monroe (LA) Symphony.
