Aiden and Bill Schnell in concert with special guest Cabin 52 to open the show!

The Unwrapped at the Box concert series is so pleased to welcome our favorite father-son duo, Aiden and Bill Schnell - who call themselves The Foxy Rose String Band, along with special guest Cabin 52.

The Foxy Rose String Band is a father-son duo, made up of Bill Schnell and Aiden Schnell, who have been playing in jams and other venues for quite some time. From the band: “People often join us on stage and we often join others on stage and so we call ourselves a band. We play and sing songs and tunes about life in the Folk, Old Time, Bluegrass and Indie ways. Community is important to us and our name reflects two of the characters in The Little Prince who help him to realize that community starts with two and grows with love. Our instruments are nature friendly and remind us of the Mother Earth Whom we need to nurture and care for so that we all may live in the freedom to care and grow.”

The Cabin 52 project began in fall of 2015 by brainchild Landon Grwinski and two of his friends shortly after their previous band fell apart. After a few years of writing together, the band decided to go their different ways and Grwinski decided it was a perfect excuse to take Cabin 52 into his own hands. Using it as a songwriting project, the multi-instrumentalist went on to write, perform, record, and produce the songs himself. Working towards writing songs that break boundaries and cross genres, the “Loser” EP is a testament to where he is at with his sound right now.

The April 20th show will open with Cabin 52 before The Foxy Rose String Band takes to the stage. Make your plans now to join us!
