December 26 through December 29 and January 2 through January 5. 12 PM to 4 PM. "ICE AGE" Free with museum admission or membership. Twenty thousand years ago, Earth was a wondrous prehistoic world filled with scary animals and ice. During an ice age, sheets of ice covered most of North America, Europe and Asia and temperatures plummeted. You might think that nothing could sruvive that type of weather, but you'd be wrong. Join us as we learn about a few of these animals that lived through the ice age--the mastodon, the woolly mammoth, the saber-toothed tiger and a cave lion! Can you guess which of these animals lived in Michigan?
