The Chocolate Café at 300 State St. offers chocolate, of course, but plenty of other confections. The cases are filled with chocolate covered everything, cheesecakes, ice cream, and baked goods. Two sides of the room are glass, offering some amazing people watching. The downtown corner is amazing; perfect to stop in on your way to and from the beach!

The store is one of my family’s favorites; Clementine was excited about my job at St. Joseph Today because it was across the street from the Chocolate Café! They offer live music most Friday and Saturday nights, which was awesome in the winter months. We loved to head down and warm up with hot chocolate while the toddler got to dance on a sugar high.
Clementine is a fan of the hot chocolate (and princess dresses, as many almost-3-year olds are!). They include a chocolate spoon with drinks, too, which adds a whole new layer of dessert fun.
Staff at the Chocolate Cafe is always great about letting Clementine pick out her own treats. From a parent's perspective, I love the opportunity to teach her some manners. From Clementine's perspective, they treat her just like a "big kid", and she loves it. The staff really goes out of their way to make her feel special. Also, she's much more polite before the sugar rush hits!
Our St. Joe Today staff visited Chocolate Cafe for the Alex Mandarino Foundation’s Eat Dessert First day. One of our staff even worked there a few years ago…
The Chocolate Cafe is open 7 days a week, staying open until 9:00pm each night, and 10:00pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Stop in to see them at 300 State Street...then come across the street to 301 State Street to see us!
