When you have a house (or classroom) full of kids for a Halloween party, it is crucial that you have ways to keep them entertained and off their phones! Here you will find my top 5 picks for fun and easy to make Halloween games for kids of all ages. You don’t have to be an expert crafter, just possess an ounce of creativity and some household items.
Julie with the "Spider's Nest" game
Create a Spider web from a hula hoop and masking tape. Make sure the sticky part of the tape is facing out. Then throw spider eggs (cotton balls) to see if you can get them to stick to the web!
Divide the group into teams, then give the first person in line a spoon and an eyeball (can be a toy or wrapped candy). They have to balance the eyeball on the spoon to the end point and back to tag the next person. If they drop the eyeball, they have to start over. The first team to have all their players back wins!
Cut a hole in a piece of foam board, then paint it and use silver thin tape to create the web design. You can use novelty spiders or make them out of pompoms and pipecleaners.
SPOOKY CAN BOWLING
Paint designs and faces onto spray painted cans. Set them into a pyramid and let the kids “bowl” them over with a small rubber ball.
CANDY CORN PICKUP
Fill a bowl with candy corn and have the kids pick up candy corn with chop sticks and place them in a small bowl. Whoever has the most candy collected at the end of the time limit wins!
