Lauren Kniebes, co-owner of the downtown St. Joseph winery, shared a holiday favorite with us!

"Our awards winning Cranberry wine is a customer favorite and is sure to please the masses at the holiday gatherings. Made with all Michigan cranberries, this fruit wine has both sweet and tart notes. It will make a great addition to the dinner table or can be enjoyed as dessert. We love to heat it with mulling spices to stay warm on those cold winter days. Those you share it with will always ask for more so stock up! It is almost gone for the season.

Our Midnight Swan is a dry lover's favorite and the perfect gift for the wine connoisseur on your list. This Bordeaux-style red is made with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot grapes grown right here in Southwest Michigan. Enjoy it with a meal or pair with chocolate for a dessert."

Kayla Betker, of the Baroda winery, shared two winter favorites!

"WATERS EDGE - Sitting by the first on a cold snowy evening our brand new release, Waters Edge, would be the perfect addition. Strawberries and blueberries. A classic Bordeaux style blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and a splash of Merlot. A well built, versatile red wine.

PINOT GRIS - With lusch acids, a rich mouthfeel, and a fruity finish, this dry Pinot Gris is definitely one of our Holiday go-to wines that the whole family will enjoy!"

Dr. Dave Miller, owner and winemaker at the Lawton vineyard, shared some of his favorite holiday wine you can pick up at the downtown St. Joseph storefront.

"During the holidays and the colder months we usually go to our red wines which are hardy and robust, just what's needed to warm our bones.

Reserve Merlot: Merlot is filled with aromas of cherry and plum overlaying a full-bodied structure and notes of cocoa, allspice, and sandalwood. Merlot is soft and rich and goes great by itself or with any of the hearty, comfort foods that go with the season. Merlot is comforting and, when grown in our cool-climate, shows why this grape has been used for wine for over a millennium. Michigan Merlot rocks!

Red Expression: Soft, fruity, light and just a little sweet, Red Expression is one of our best selling wines. In winter we like to warm it up with mulling spices (on sale a the tasting room for $2) for a winter treat that takes up back to old-world flavors and traditions. Cinnamon, allspice, clove and a hint of orange zest in our spice blend are perfect complements to the raspberry, cherry and blackberry flavor and aroma that are naturally part of the wine. You will want to make this part of your holiday / winter tradition!"

Kelli Stopczynski, Director of Marketing for Quality Dining, shared with us an exciting new release that would make a great gift or addition to your holiday gathering this season!

"In October, Papa Vino's and Moersch Hospitality Group launched a private label wine partnership. The collaboration is important because it showcases Lake Michigan Shore wines—grown, produced and bottled at Tabor Hill and Round Barn Wineries in Berrien County. Papa Vino's is owned and operated by Quality Dining, Inc.—a privately held company based in Mishawaka that owns 215 restaurants in 7 states. The collaboration between Moersch and Papa Vino's brought PV red blend and PV pinot gris exclusively into Papa Vino's restaurants in St. Joe and Mishawaka.
