Everyone's favorite fall activities are coming together this weekend, September 19-22, in Michigan's Great Southwest. The weekend includes everything from Fall Fest and Sidewalk Sales to 5K's, live music, team trivia nights and more!



Start off your weekend with a trip to the Silver Beach Carousel as they host their weekly Family Fun Nights from 4:00-8:30pm through the end of May! This week's theme is St. Joe and Lakeshore Fans Team Up Against Cancer. Attendees that wear their fan gear will get a free ride (limited to one per person).

Catch a Sunset Coast Performance on the Krasl Art Center grounds from 5:30-6:30pm. This week features Ensemble Concept/21 and a cabaret performance from the 2019 GhostLight Theatre season.

INSIDER TIP: Enjoy delicious food from the WERK IT! food truck and tasty
beverages from the KAC concession stand. Guests are encouraged to bring

their own blankets!

Celebrate Tolkien Week and Hobbit Day at the SWMI RACERS 4th Annual Hobbiton Beer Run this Thursday at 6:00pm. Participants can choose to run or walk the 5K or 2.5K course which begins and ends at The Livery. Same Day Registration opens at 5:00pm. Proceeds benefit the Benton Harbor Public Library Children's Wing!

Test your trivia skills weekly on Thursday nights at Sister Lakes Brewing at their Team Trivia from 7:00-9:00pm! Always free to play; the top three teams will win SLBC gift certificates.
      Additional team trivia nights in Michigan's Great Southwest include:
          The Buck Burgers & Brew: Team Trivia Monday nights at 7:00pm and Sound Check Music Match Bingo Thursdays at 7:00pm
          Silver Harbor Brewing Company: Team Trivia Tuesday nights at 7:30pm



Sidewalk Sales will be held on Friday afternoon from 10:00am-8:00pm and Saturday from 10:00am-5:00pm in downtown St. Joseph! Participating locations will host outdoor sales that feature reduced price merchandise as they make room for new inventory. Come enjoy a beautiful weekend filled of shopping!

Head over to Benton Harbor to catch some live music at The Livery at 8:00pm! Grab some delectable food and tasty brews as you settle in for a night of "head-nod-jazz"by After Hours. Pay what you want admission!

Theatre lovers have three chances this weekend to watch Mamma Mia! presented by Twin City Players. Catch shows on Friday and Saturday at 7:00pm and 2:00pm on Sunday. Additional shows September 27-29.

Friday evening, onlookers can cheer teams as they rave bed frames to the finish line during the 7th Annual Bed Race at 4:30pm on Lake Boulevard. This fundraiser benefits the Benton Harbor Sunrise Rotary youth programs and the Slumberland Furniture 40 Winks Foundation that provides mattresses and beds to children who need them. 



Celebrate fall this Saturday from 10:00am-3:00pm during the 7th Annual Fall Fest in Lake Bluff Park. Activities include Balloon Twisters (11:00am-3:00pm), Face Painter (11:00am-3:00pm), Storytime on the Bluff with Forever Books (11:30am) and the Benton Harbor Public Library (12:30pm), Critter Barn (11:00am-3:00pm), St. Joe Farmers Market (9:00am-2:00), the Great Pumpkin Festival and more!

INSIDER TIP: Additional vendors from 11:00am-3:00pm include Girls on the Run,
YMCA, Fusion Center for Dance, Forté Coffee and Dog House Donuts!

Two of the greatest ever Rock n' Roll bands face off for a show you won't forget! The Mendel Center at Lake Michigan College welcomes the nationally touring Beatles vs. Stones show at 8:00pm. The battle will commence between The Beatles tribute band, Abbey Road, and The Rolling Stones tribute band, Satisfaction.

Wanderlust Outfitters invites everyone to their Kuhl PANTcakes Event from 10:00am-1:00pm. Attendees can eat pancakes, drink coffee and enjoy 25% off Kuhl. Receive a FREE gift when you try on two pairs of Kuhl pants!

Looking for another 5K this weekend? Brookview Montessori School and the SWMI RACERS invite you to the 6th Annual Brookview Pirate Run 5K/10K at 9:00am! This family friendly event also features a Kids Fun Run at 8:30am and an option to walk the 5K. Same day registration begins Saturday morning at 8:00am.

Vineyard 2121 hosts the 5th Annual Pappy's Harvest Festival from 12:30pm-10:00pm. Activities include: Live Music, Bean Bag Toss Tournament, Three Legged Race, Hayrides, Pie Eating Contest and more!

Berrien County residents are invited to participate in the Community Recycling Event hosted by the Berrien County Parks Department at Silver Beach County Park from 9:00am-1:00pm. Accepted items include household chemicals and electronics. 



Six Southwest Michigan homeowners will share their homes this weekend for the Southwest Michigan Symphony Home Tour from 12:00-5:00pm! Master Key Home Tour tickets are $25/advance and $30/at the door (ages 12+). Proceeds will benefit SMSO. 

Animal Aid of SWMI hosts their Howling Halloween Mutt March in Lake Bluff Park from 1:00-3:00pm. This annual fundraiser features Adoption Day, kids' games, displays, animal exhibits, local vendors and more! Attendees and their pets are encouraged to dress in costumes.

Swing over the Box Factory for their LAST Summer Sunday at the Box from 1:00-6:00pm! Enjoy live music by local musicians, local artisans booths, and food and beverages by Nosh Village and Forte Coffeé. Pay what you want admission!
