Summer Camp I: YOUTH

Youth Camp has 3 classes, with 3 rotating teaching artists. Students will focus on Polynesia and its cultural arts while exploring traditional, modern, and contemporary arts. Students will learn about various art forms including textiles, sculpture, folklore, masks, symbolism, and mixed-media.

 

A reception will be held for students to exhibit their artwork on Friday, June 30th, the last day of camp at 2 pm.

Warmer weather is on the way and we're gearing up for Summer Art Camps at ARS Arts and Culture Center! Join us in June (YOUTH) and July (TEEN) as we explore the creative & cultural history of Polynesia!

ARS SUMMER CAMP, now in its 13th year, is not just about learning a technique or being shown how to assemble parts from a pre-packaged kit. Through the guidance of our talented teaching artists, students will be using a wide variety of resources and real art supplies to develop artistic skills, critical thinking, and visual problem-solving.

That's because ARS camp starts with raw materials, gets messy, and offers students the unlimited freedom to create art that is uniquely individual and personal, all while having fun!
