Happy Birthday Courthouse Square!

In 1975, the 1839 Courthouse’s near-decade long renovation and upgrades were completed and along with the 1830 Murdoch Log Cabin and the soon-to-be Bennett’s Forge, the 1839 Courthouse Museum was a full-fledged museum designed to inspire generations of Berrien County residents and visitors.

The staff and board of the BCHA has declared April the museum’s birthday month and we’re inviting you to the party! All month long, we’re accepting birthday donations to support our popular programs, exciting exhibits, and rejuvenating renovations. You can donate in person, over the phone, or via our website (berrienhistory.org).

Then join us on April 30th for a birthday party, complete with cake inside the 1839 Courthouse at 2:00 p.m. You’ll also be able to enjoy our current exhibit, “Bitter Battle: The Elections that Changed Berrien County.”
