Twin City Players announces the first production of its 2022-2023 90th Mainstage Season, Monty Python’s Spamalot, book & lyrics by Eric Idle, music by John Du Prez and Eric Idle, a new musical lovingly ripped off from the motion picture Monty Python and the Holy Grail. From the original screenplay by Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, and Michael Palin.
Lovingly ripped off from the classic film comedy Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Monty Python’s Spamalotretells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, and features a bevy of beautiful show girls, not to mention cows, killer rabbits, and French people. Did we mention the bevy of beautiful showgirls? Winner of three Tony® Awards, including Best Musical, the outrageous, uproarious, and gloriously entertaining story of King Arthur and the Lady of the Lake will delight audiences as they search for the Holy Grail and “always look on the bright side of life.”
