Summer’s not over in Michigan’s Great Southwest! Keep reading to maximize your holiday weekend plans. This holiday weekend features everything from business anniversaries and sales to sun-filled beach days, a tri-state Regatta, a Farmers Market, an Artisan Fair and Antiques on the Bluff!

 

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 1

The Friday Night Concert Series wraps up with the last concert of the 2023 season! This week catch a performance by St. Joe Jack & The Good Time Co. at the John E.N. Howard Bandshell in downtown St. Joseph from 7:00p-8:00p. Take in beautiful sunsets during this free concert. Sponsored by The Boulevard Inn & Bistro with support provided by: The John & Dede Howard Endowments held at the Berrien Community Foundation.

Wanderlust Outfitters celebrate their 7th WANDER-versary this Labor Day Weekend! Enjoy discounts and giveaways all weekend long, September 1-4. Special family fun on Saturday, September 2 from 11:00a-2:00p - attendees will enjoy balloon twisting and critters from Sarett Nature Center

Take a spin on The Silver Beach Carousel this weekend! Hours include Friday-Sunday from 12:00p-8:00p.

INSIDER TIP: Last chance to swim under the sea with the Carousel!
Their underwater decor will disappear after Labor Day! 

The Heritage Museum & Cultural Center hosts their last weekend of Public Lighthouse Hours! Weather permitting, hours run Fridays from 12:00p-5:00p, Saturdays from 11:00a-5:00p and Sundays from 12:00p-5:00p. The main level, exhibit and introductory tour are free! Attendees can also enjoy a Guided Walking Tour & Upper Level Climb ($10/person), available at 1:00p and 3:00p Friday-Sunday.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 2

Market-goers will enjoy fresh finds at the weekly St. Joe Farmers Market, held every Saturday now through October 14 from 9:00a-4:00p (last weekend for extended hours) in Lake Bluff Park. Attendees will enjoy a variety of products including homemade goods, locally grown produce, perennials and cut flowers, meats and cheeses, coffee and more! Sponsored by The Boulevard Inn & Bistro & BOSS Services.

INSIDER TIP: This is the last day to get a FREE tote bags will be
handed out to the first 250 attendees at the market. Stop by
the participating vendors!

Shadowland on Silver Beach hosts a special Labor Day, Cars and Coffee from 9:00a-11:00a! Attendees will enjoy cars on display from Southwest Michigan Cars & Coffee. This event is open to the public and features a coffee bar for purchase! 

Over 50 local and regional artisans will display their handcrafted goods during the Lake Bluff Artisan Fair from 10:00a-5:00p in Lake Bluff Park! Shoppers will enjoy a variety of goods including candles, jewelry, clothing and more. 

INSIDER TIP: Head to the Krasl Art Center for additional artisans during their
Summer Art Market on the Green from 10:00a-5:00p. This outdoor market on
KAC grounds that features 10 regional artists, including one Emerging Artist!
KAC sculpture and gallery exhibitions will be open to explore before or after
you shop the market.

Head over to Eden Springs Park for their Summer Miniature Train Rides! Train rides are available Saturday and Sunday from 12:00p-5:00p, through Labor Day weekend. Cost $3/person, kids 3 and under free.

The City of St. Joseph, hosts their last Summer Movie Series this weekend, featuring Minions the Rise of Gru! Held at Whirlpool Centennial Park, this showing starts at 7:30p and is entirely free to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs, blankets and snacks!

Wrap up the evening with St. Joseph River Yacht Club’s annual Tri-State Regatta Party from 8:30p-Midnight! Featuring live music by Libido Funk Circus. This event is open to the public.

Antiques on the Bluff returns to Lake Bluff Park from 10:00a-5:00p! Find hidden treasures along Lake Bluff Park at this premier antique show that overlooks Lake Michigan. This event features over 50 vendors and runs the first Sunday of the month, May through October. Sponsored by Family Chimney Sweeps

Cool off at the Whirlpool Centennial Compass Fountain Splash Pad! Hours include Memorial Day Weekend-Labor Day Weekend from 10:00a-9:00p; September 5-September 30 from 12:00p-8:00p.

Sunday, October 1 from 2:00p-4:00p! Presented by the

Enjoy a weekly Bloody Mary Bar at Vineyard 2121, on Sundays from 11:00a-4:00p. 

End the evening with delectable craft brews, mouthwatering food and live music in the plaza at Silver Harbor Brewing! Featuring music by Aaron Wright from 6:30p-9:30p.
