 Southwest Michigan is celebrating the holiday weekend! Enjoy live music, wine tasting, a Farmers Market, Antiques on the Bluff, and various firework shows throughout St. Joe and neighboring towns. It’s sure to be a blast of a weekend!

 

FRIDAY, JULY 1

Take a spin on the Silver Beach Carousel! Regular weekend hours include Friday and Saturday from 11:00a-8:00p and Sunday from 12:00p-8:00p. 

The Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber hosts their annual Independence Day Celebration at Watermark Brewing from 5:30p-11:00p. Attendees will enjoy live music by Dan Moore and delicious food from Wood, Stock and Grill and Nola Roux!

SATURDAY, JULY 2

Stop to get some fresh eats at the St. Joe Farmers Market, running from 9:00a-2:00p in Lake Bluff Park. Market-goers will find a variety of products including baked goods, locally grown produce, perennials and cut flowers, meats and cheeses, coffee and more!

INSIDER TIP: If you can’t catch it this weekend due to all the
festivities, no problem! The Farmers Market is every
Saturday until October 8.

Kickstart your day Yoga & Yolks Gentle Yoga and Breakfast hosted by The Culinary Cottage from 9:00a-10:30a. This weekly class includes a delicious healthy breakfast buffet at the end.

Ever seen the inside of the lighthouse? You have, but want to see it again? No problem! The Heritage Museum and Cultural Center conducts open hours to view the lighthouse Thursday-Sunday, 11:00a-5:00p (free admission). Guided Historic Tours are available at 11:00a and 4:00p Thursday-Sunday ($10/person) and Self-Guided Tours with Tower Climbs are available for $5/person. Have a splash down at the Whirlpool Compass Fountain, it’s the perfect way for the family to cool down while also making their vacation memorable. 

SUNDAY, JULY 3

Start your Sunday off with Antiques on the Bluff. Take a small walk through history as you browse over 50 vendors. This event takes over Lake Bluff Park and is open from 10:00a-5:00p. If you’re busy, no worries! Check out Antiques On The Bluff on the first Sunday of every month until October. 

Time to celebrate with Reds, Whites, and Brews–enjoy beverage tasting, live music, and mouth-watering food at Round Barn Estate from 11:00a-7:00p. To reserve your spot, visit roundbarn.com!

INSIDER TIP: There’s no better way to celebrate the Fourth than viewing a firework show!
Check out the Baroda Fireworks at the Beer Garden at Public House, event starts at
5:00p, live music at 7:00p, fireworks at dusk.

See some local flavors of music at the Sister Lakes Brewing Company with their Courtyard Concert Series. Performing from 2:00p-5:00p check out Jimmy & The Mortals! 

What’s better than fireworks? Fireworks to music! Check out this thunderous display during the Independence Day Celebration hosted by the Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra at the Shadowland Pavilion at 8:30p.

MONDAY, JULY 4

Not everyone wants the festivities to end on Sunday! On Monday, head over to Berrien Springs for the Pickle Festival! The Berrien County Historical Association joins the funs by hosting some events in the Courthouse Square! The festival runs from 11:00a-4:00p and attendees will enjoy big wheel races, pickle-themed games, vendors, pickle tasting and more!

INSIDER TIP: The Pickle Festival caps off with a 4th Fourth of July
Parade at 4:00p; and Berrien Springs will host their community
fireworks at dusk on July 4!

Forever Books hosts the Where’s Waldo Hunt July 1-27! Grab a passport from Forever Books, search for Waldo in participating stores to earn a stamp and turn in your completed passport to be entered into a raffle!
