Animal Aid Christmas Holiday Open House

Event published by Animal Aid of SW Michigan

Animal Aid’s Annual Christmas Open House is moving! After 10 years at the library in St Joseph, we are setting up at the Lincoln Township Library in Stevensville! This year’s theme, based on the ever-popular film, is The Nightmare Before Christmas. The library is adopting this theme for the holiday, too! Also moving is the date of our event, to the second Saturday, December 12th. While this means we will no longer be a neighbor to the Reindog Parade in St Joseph, we’ll still be a place to warm up and warm your heart with some of our adorable, adoptable animals! Nothing adds to the festivity of the holidays like a cuddly kitty or tail-wagging dog! Santa will make a guest appearance, too.

Enjoy shopping for the perfect holiday gifts, stocking stuffers and pet items while indulging with complimentary cake and punch. The classic Bake Sale offers a variety of home-made temptations and the Silent Auction has grown each year to offer a plethora of selections! One item sure to be popular is a Harbor Shores Golf Club Foursome with cart. Stop at the Memory Tree to honor or remember a beloved pet or person in your life with a donation; place their name in tribute on the tree. New for 2026, you can have your photo taken with our special backdrop for a $5 donation.

Our Christmas Holiday Open House runs from noon until 3pm and we welcome you to the new location! The Lincoln Township Library is at 2099 W John Beers Rd, Stevensville, with plenty of convenient free parking. Owned pets are not allowed, but our foster animals await your arrival! If you are unable to attend, you can still help by mailing a check to Animal Aid, PO Box 407, St. Joseph MI 49085 or donating at www.animalaidswmi.org. This fundraiser allows us to further assist critical needs of local lost, injured and homeless cats and dogs. Animal Aid is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and your monetary donations are tax-deductible as allowed. Sincere thanks to the Lincoln Township Library for this opportunity. Event questions, infoanimalaidswmi@gmail.com.

Animal Aid was the first non-profit, all-volunteer animal rescue group in Southwest Michigan. Started in 1980 by Cindy Bravender and Kay Baker, it stood alone in offering emergency rescue service and foster home care to homeless, abandoned and injured dogs and cats and was a pioneer in promoting spay-neuter.
