Emily takes pride in making everything from scratch, sourcing ingredients locally, and letting the natural flavors of the food shine through. She loves what she does and it makes her day when folks enjoy her treats as much as she does.

A recipient of her culinary creativity for years, Richard, a car designer by trade, is the creative force behind the eatery design and atmosphere. We hope our eatery is a place for not only good food but conversation, comfort, and fun. Speaking of fun, why the name Happy Poochie? Our grandson penned Poochie as Lisa’s name early on, so what could be better than making people happy with Poochie’s food!

Loafing with Brittney is a micro bakery in St Joseph Michigan specializing in made to order organic rustic bread, mini bread, pizza crust, cookies and other treats. Stop by our pop-up at The Culinary Cottage's St. Joseph Cottage Bakery on Fridays from 9am-1pm!

Brewing coffee beans by day and offering sophisticated grapes by night, guests and the public alike can enjoy this space located on the first floor with entrances both via hotel and parking lot.

A sourdough microbakery. I loved baking sourdough so much I decided to share it! We want to bring simple delicious sourdough your way! Everything we make is made with the wild yeast of sourdough- sweet and savory treats alike. We offer a pre order service for Friday pick ups at 2 locations. 1968 N Benton Center Rd in Benton Harbor or 606 Ship St in downtown St. Joe. Bring our bread along to your events by placing a special order. Maybe you'd like to learn more about sourdough. We provide classes through Culinary Cottage or private classes can be discussed. We also have a shop inside of the Culinary Cottage as part of St Joseph Cottage Bakery, Fridays 10-4 where you can stop by and grab some sourdough for your weekend. Opening a breakfast restaurant has been an idea of ours for a few years now. We’re so excited to finally bring The Copper Pot to both locals and tourists alike.

At The Copper Pot, we offer a wide variety of breakfast choices. We have classics like omelets, scrambles and combos… along with some pretty cool elevated dishes too.

Elephant Ear Waffles, our delicious Smoothie Bowl and the Oven-Roasted Grapefruit are just a few of the items that you might not usually find at most morning cafés.

The Little Things Play Cafe is an indoor playground geared toward 0-6 year olds, combined with a full coffee bar, snacks and comfortable seating for adults to sit back and relax while their children play in an open, clean, Montessori-inspired play space.
