Go inside the North Pier Inner Light first-floor for free or buy a ticket to climb to the top. It's fun for all ages!
Explore the free first-floor exhibits and dive into the rich nautical history of St. Joseph/Benton Harbor.
Climb to the top for spectacular panoramic views ($5/person).
Stroll the pier to the Outer Lighthouse - a perfect spot for boat and sunset watching.
Tours and Presentations
Enjoy a free, guided tour from the start of the North Pier to the Lighthouse. Tours will be held once every Saturday at 10:00a!
Lighthouse Presentations - Participants may enjoy these free, one-hour interactive programs individually or as a three-part series. Held the second Saturday of the month, June-August, from 5:30p-6:30p. Immediately following the presentation, the Lighthouse will be open from 6:30p-8:30p for free tours.
2026 Dates: June 10 (Does it Count as a Lighthouse?), July 8 (Architecture of Lighthouse), August 12 (Navigating with Lighthouses).
Discover Their Legacy
Learn about lighthouses as an important aid to navigation and their contribution to the economic viability of our area since the mid-1800s. To this day, the port continues to serve cargo ships transporting agricultural products, lumber, aggregate and other construction materials, as well as a vibrant recreational boating community.
Lighthouse Stamp
Get your U.S. Lighthouse Society Passport stamped year-round at the St. Joe Today Welcome Center or during the summer season at the Lighthouse. There is a suggested donation of $2 per stamp!
