The Junior Club will feature student performances. Our guest artist is Pablo Valladares Pianist, teacher, music director Pablo Valladares is a pianist and teacher from Quito, Ecuador. He holds a bachelors and master’s degree in piano performance from Drake University and Western Michigan University, respectively. As a performer, Valladares has appeared with all the major professional orchestras in his country, including the National Symphony Orchestra from Ecuador. Valladares made his debut as soloist at the age of 14 under the direction of Jose Alvarez and the Symphony Orchestra from Loja, Ecuador. During his career, he has also performed in several countries around the world including China, Austria, Ecuador and the United States. Valladares has also exceed in his professional skills by winning prizes nationally and internationally. He is two-time winner of the Drake University Concerto Competition and also a winner of The Young Talent Competition organized by the National Symphony Orchestra from Ecuador. Lastly, Valladares serves as music director of the Ono Zone International Music Festival, which brings together musicians from all over the world to combine and perform in the city of Quito, Ecuador. Valladares serves as an adjunct faculty at Western Michigan University as well as at the Suzuki Academy of Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo Music School and The Gilmore Piano Festival.
