Join us on Saturday, May 21 for the 2022 Compass Music Fest! As we gear up for summer, there’s a lot to explore in Michigan’s Great Southwest. Read more to make the most of this jam-packed May weekend!

 

FRIDAY, MAY 20

The GhostLight hosts their latest production, Little Women! Based on Louisa May Alcott’s 1868-69 semi-autobiographical two-volume novel which focuses on the four March sisters. Catch this show Thursday-Sunday May 19-29!

Stop by the Box Factory for the Arts to view their latest exhibition, the Michiana Annual Art Competition (MAAC) on display now through July 3. The MAAC is a local juried fine art exhibition featuring Southwest Michigan and Northern Indiana artists. 

ARS Gallery hosts an Opening Reception for Uncovered: 15 Years an Exhibition by Thomas Allen from 5:30p-7:30p. Attendees will enjoy live music, small bites and light refreshments. This exhibit will be on display May 20-July 10.

 

SATURDAY, MAY 21

Join St. Joe Today for Compass Music Fest held in Whirlpool Centennial Park from 12:00p-8:00p! This all-ages event features live music, craft beer and regional wines. Local St. Joseph band, The Backups and The Get Downs will kick things off at 12:20p, followed by Grand Rapids based band Jack Droppers & The Best Intentions at 1:40p, Indie pop singer-songwriter Mary Lambert at 3:15p, Alt-Folk band the Morningsiders at 4:50p, and wrapping things up is Canadian singer-songwriter JP Saxe at 6:45p. Find your new favorite wine at the St. Joe Wine Shoppe! Every Sunday, they open three new bottles of wine, all different styles, during Wine Sample Sundays from 1:00p-5:00p! 

Jammin’ in the Vineyard has returned to Round Barn Estate! On Saturdays and Sundays, attendees will enjoy live music and delicious beverages. 

Berrien County Historical Association (BCHA) hosts their latest exhibit Against the Grain: Wood and Our Daily Lives. This exhibit features BCHA’s vast wood and lumber collections to tell the story of a material that shaped Berrien County’s many communities. Check out this exhibit now through July 4, Wednesday-Sunday.
