2025 Savor the Shoreline

Get a taste of Southwest Michigan as select restaurants in downtown St. Joseph and the Benton Harbor Arts District offer specials during St. Joe Today’s inaugural restaurant month celebration, Savor the Shoreline, held April 4 - May 4!

Start your culinary adventure by picking up a passport from the St. Joe Today Welcome Center, located at 301 State Street in downtown St. Joseph. Participants are encouraged to complete their passports before turning them back in St. Joe Today for a chance to win a Sturgis Bank Gift Basket or a restaurant gift card donated by one of the participating locations.

Participating restaurants will offer a $45 meal option during restaurant month - either $45 per person or $45 per couple, varying by location. Stay tuned for special menu releases!

Honor veterans who have served this great country and remember those who have sacrificed their lives to protect our freedom at the annual Memorial Day Parade. The parade will begin at the intersection of Lake Blvd. and Park St.

2025 St. Joe Farmers Market

Market-goers will enjoy fresh finds at the weekly St. Joe Farmers Market. Vendors will offer a variety of products including baked goods, locally grown produce, perennials and cut flowers, meats and cheeses, coffee and more! This event is held Saturdays in the scenic Lake Bluff Park, overlooking Lake Michigan.

THURSDAY, JANUARY 23

Kick off the weekend with a spin on The Silver Beach Carousel as they reopen with their "Snow Kidding" - We're Open Again Family Fun Night from 4:00-8:30pm! Attendees ages 3-13 can enter FREE hourly drawings for Snowman Snow Cone Shooters. All ages will enjoy $1 rides that evening!

Sister Lakes Brewing Co. hosts Team Trivia every Thursday night from 7:00-9:00pm. Sip on some delicious craft beer as you test your trivia skills. Always free to play, the top three teams will win a SLBC gift certificate!

INSIDER TIP: The Buck Burgers & Brew hosts a Soundcheck Music Match BINGO night at 7:00pm!

Join The Turquoise Top Hat for a Thursday Night DIY Signs: Pick Your Project Class from 6:00-9:00pm! Ages 12+ welcome. Each attendee will leave with a fully finished wood sign ready to hang on the wall!

The Bistro on the Boulevard invites you to wind down with them on Thursday nights during Martini Madness from 5:00-11:00pm! This event features select $5 martinis.

 

FRIDAY, JANUARY 24

Warm up with us as downtown St. Joe hosts the 8th Annual Chili Tour from 5:00-8:00pm! Participating locations or "Chili Stops" will play host as you have the opportunity to try their best recipes. Get started at the Welcome Center! It costs $2 per participant (includes a Chili Tour Map that doubles as your People's Choice Voting Ballot). A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Benton Harbor Soup Kitchen.

INSIDER TIP: Chili Tour maps will be available for purchase day of!

Enjoy a night of sharp wit and incredible talent at the Dueling Pianos event presented by SMSO! Start the night with cocktails at 6:30pm followed by a 7:00pm performance. Tickets sell out each year so make sure to purchase yours soon!

Get ready for two full hours of ABBA Mania from 8:00-10:00pm at The Mendel Center at Lake Michigan College! Timeless hits including "Dancing Queen", "Mamma Mia" and "Take a Chance on Me" are sure to get you dancing in your seat.

Head over to Benton Harbor to catch some live music at The Livery at 8:30pm! Grab some delectable food and tasty brews as you settle in fora night of progressive rock/funk and jazz-fusion featuring Chirp. Tickets - Honor Cover ($10 suggested admission). 

 

SATURDAY, JANUARY 25

Bundle up and join us from Noon-4:00pm for the 5th Annual St. Joe Winter Beer Fest in downtown St. Joe! Craft beer enthusiasts will enjoy sampling from local and regional Michigan breweries. Cost $35/person. Includes: Admission, sample cup, 12 tokens, winter comradery and music! One token is a sample. Must be 21+. Tickets are selling fast and a limited amount are available through The Mendel Center at Lake Michigan College. 

INSIDER TIP: Food will be available for purchase from Nosh Village and the Twisted Dawg!

The Inn at Harbor Shores has the perfect family fun activity for a winter weekend! Don't miss their January Family Movie Night. Packages include an overnight stay, kids friendly dinner buffet, 7:00pm showing of Toy Story 4, and an Inn Souvenir (limited to on per room). Visit the innatharborshores.com for more details.

Demo MSR snowshoes with Wanderlust Outfitters at Sarett Nature Center from Noon-2:00pm. The Wanderlust crew will be there to answer any questions.

Head over to The Mendel Center at Lake Michigan College for the Wedding World 2020 Exhibition from 11:00am-3:00pm. Held in Grand Upton Hall, this is Southwest Michigan's Premier Bridal Show that features 60+ local vendors!

Curious Kids' Museum hosts "Animals Alive" from Noon-4:00pm. Get ready to meet some reptiles and amphibians up close! Free with museum admission.

Swing by ARS Gallery for Mimosas with the Artist, featuring artist Scott Elliot, from 11:00am-1:00pm. Hear Elliot speak about his career as an artist, curator and world traveler! Free and open to the public.

 

SUNDAY, JANUARY 26

Catch some live music featuring Dale Wicks at Dablon Winery from 2:30-5:30pm! Grand Rapids based musician Wicks will showcase his alt-country and rolk-rock traditions.

JLN Studio hosts a Fundraiser Art & Canvas Night for a local child in need of a service dog! This class will be held from 2:00-4:00pm and will cost $35 per person (includes an 11 x 14 canvas).

Spend the day with friends at The Livery as they host the 3rd Annual Euchre Tournament for the Benton Harbor Soup Kitchen from 1:00-4:00pm! $25 per person and includes The Livery's famous pizza bar

The 16th Annual Magical Ice Fest returns bigger and better than ever and is packed full of family fun, ice competitions, frozen fish and more! Get ready for some frosty fun Friday, January 31 - Sunday, February 2.
