As we gear up for Spring, there’s a lot to explore in Michigan’s Great Southwest. Join us this weekend for March Mannequins, the Spring Artisan Fair, a Women’s Weekend, live music, theatre shows, creative workshops and so much more. Read on to make the most of this jam-packed March weekend!

 

FRIDAY, MARCH 7

March Mannequins, presented by St. Joe Today, returns on Friday, March 7 from 7:00p-8:30p! Watch storefronts of participating businesses come alive during March Mannequins in downtown St. Joe. Windows will display community volunteers as they pose perfectly still, like mannequins. This year’s theme features Decades! Vote for your favorite window at stjoetoday.com/vote. Sponsored by the Southwestern Michigan Tourist Council and The Boulevard Inn & Bistro.

INSIDER TIP: Voting will be open from 7:00p on Friday, March 7
until 11:59p on Sunday, March 9! Please limit to one vote per
person.

Shop, sip, save and stay March 7-9 for a Women’s Weekend in St. Joseph! Celebrate women-owned businesses in downtown St. Joseph as participating locations offer sales and specials all weekend long. Check out the Lazy Ballerina Winery Facebook event for more information!

Twin City Players hosts their latest production, Unnecessary Farce, an award-winning stage comedy that combines all the elements of classic farce with a contemporary plot. Dennis O’Hagan’s Great Brewery Tour hits the Watermark Brewing stage at 7:00p! Now in his 7th year of a national tour, O’Hagan teams up with his son for a night of entertainment to share their music and tales of traveling to more than 850 craft breweries in 45 states.

SATURDAY, MARCH 8

Shop over 30 local artisans at the Spring Artisan Fair, presented by St. Joe Today, from 11:00a-4:00p! This event will be held indoors at the Union+Social Event Venue in downtown St. Joe (around the corner from Silver Harbor Brewing). Find everything from candles and jewelry to home decor, baked goods and more!

INSIDER TIP: Stop by the SJT Welcome Center for a Pop Up by KT’s Rasoi’s
from 12:00p-3:00p! They will be selling Mango lassi and Samosa. 

Stop by Forever Clean Soap Works for a Women’s Weekend Special - Tarot Reading with Suzanne from Velvet Skin Spa from 10:30a-2:30p! Readings are $30 (cash only); no appointment is necessary! 

Join Sarett Nature Center for a hands-on, educational experience, meeting animals from all over the world with Nelson The Animal Guy and Wild Safari! Three shows will be offered on Saturday - 11:00a, 1:00p and 3:00p. Space is limited and tickets are required! 

It’s the Day of the Dude at Peat’s Cider Social from 12:00p-6:00p! Attendees will enjoy White Russians, Munchies by Gambino’s Wood Fired Pizza (12:00p-8:00p), a Big Lebowski Screening, a Costume Contest (3:00p) and live music feat. Boneafyde Band (4:00p-6:00p)!

Enjoy a Pop-Up Female-Owned Artisan Market, Barrel & Bloom, at Round Barn Winery from 12:00p-5:00p to celebrate International Women’s Day! This event will feature a wine release (Round Barn’s Blanc de Noir), signature food pairings and special guests Sage Briggs (Round Barn winemaker) and Nicole Brown (Round Barn sommelier). 

O&Co. hosts a DIY Air Plant Terrarium Bar at Lazy Ballerina Winery from 1:00-2:30p, as part of the Women’s Weekend! Each ticket includes one terrarium, air plant, raw crystal base material and one beverage of choice. 

Celebrate St. Paddy’s Day with Sister Lakes Brewing from 3:00p-7:00p! Attendees will enjoy live Celtic Music with Brian McClure, Reuben Sandwiches, House-Made Corned Beef and Cabbage, Green Beer and the release of SLBC Irish Red Beards Red Ale!

In honor of the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day, celebrate with the Box Factory for the Arts as they host live music featuring Kennedy’s Kitchen from 7:00p-9:00p! Attendees will enjoy a night of music from this popular Irish-music band based out of South Bend, IN. 

The Acorn hosts the Trippin Billies: A Tribute to Dave Matthews Band from 8:00p-11:00p! Based in Chicago, the Trippin Billies have been bringing fans the music of the Dave Matthews Band for almost twenty years. 

 

SUNDAY, MARCH 9

Lazy Ballerina  Winery hosts a Pop-Up featuring Forever Linked Permanent Jewelry from 1:00p-4:00p, a part of the Women’s Weekend!

The Lilac Loft hosts a “Celebrating Women” Vintage Tea Cup Candle Making Workshop at 2:00p and 4:00p! Join them for a unique and fun candle-making experience. Space is limited!

Find your new favorite wine at the St. Joe Wine Shoppe! Every Sunday, they open a variety of wines, all different styles, during Wine Sample Sundays from 1:00p-5:00p! 

Head to The Livery for a Board Game Day from 1:00p-4:00p! This event is free and open to the public. Michiana Boardgamery will supply and teach the games! Check it out by yourself or with friends!
