Event by Third Coast Paddling

Fri. June 20, 2025 | 9:00am - 7:00pm

St. Joseph, New Buffalo, Warren Dunes State Park, Saugatuck/Douglas, MI

The summer solstice is here — the sun’s out, the water’s warm, and there’s no better way to soak it all in than from a kayak or paddleboard. Come celebrate the start of summer with a little sunshine, freshwater spray, and a whole lot of fun.

For the first day of summer only (June 20), take 15% off your rentals with promo code SUMMER15 at check-out. (Valid for online advance reservations only.)

Choose from six Southwest Michigan locations:

  • Silver Beach, 101 Broad Street, St. Joseph - consistently named one of the Midwest’s best beaches, Silver Beach offers a perfect location to launch a rental kayak or stand-up paddleboard on Lake Michigan and take in sweeping views of our iconic lighthouse.

  • Warren Dunes State Park, 12032 Red Arrow Highway, Sawyer - experience Michigan’s most popular state park in a whole new way – by renting a kayak, paddleboard, or sandboard! Paddling and sandboarding are the perfect way to explore the Warren Dunes State Park's three miles of shoreline and to take in epic views of 260-foot dune formations.
  • Paw Paw River, 601 Graham Avenue, Benton Harbor - just minutes from downtown St. Joseph and the Benton Harbor Arts District, you can explore beautiful wetlands on a rental kayak or stand-up paddleboard and paddle the Paw Paw River through Harbor Shores, a Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course.

  • Galien River, 200 Marquette Drive, New Buffalo - discover Michigan's Harbor Country on a rental kayak or stand-up paddleboard as you paddle through the New Buffalo Marsh, a unique Great Lakes marsh that formed along the Galien River just upstream from Lake Michigan.

  • Wade's Bayou, 52 Bayou Street, Douglas - a visit to the Saugatuck / Douglas area isn’t complete without paddling the Kalamazoo River! Rent a kayak or paddleboard at Wade’s Bayou Park in downtown Douglas - the perfect starting point for taking in the beautiful waterfront and natural scenery.
