The non-profit Harbor Impact Foundation Inc. is teaming up with the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi and its Four Winds Casinos and other generous sponsors to bring The Original Gus Macker 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament to the Twin Cities of Benton Harbor and St. Joseph, MI on June 27 & 28, 2026.

Part of downtown Benton Harbor will be transformed into "Mackerville" for one weekend, with other local charities, youth groups, churches, and more setting up a "tent city" surrounding the temporary basketball courts. This will take place on Riverview Drive in Benton Harbor, with the help of the Whirlpool Parking Lot and also Benton Harbor Charter Schools.

The tournament is open to 4-person teams in 3 categories, Junior, Adult, and Top Level, with different brackets for male and female teams from age 8 to 80.

All teams are guaranteed three games in a double elimination format - so enter your TEAM TODAY!

Tournament features: Slam Dunk Contest, 3-point Shootout, Free Throw Contest, Kids Court Area (for the little ones), and all players get a Gus Macker T-shirt!

Players and their families are encouraged to bring tents, folding chairs, and food/beverages for their teams. The Detroit Pistons Extreme Team will be live at the Gus Macker On The River in Benton Harbor! Several food truck vendors will also be on-site in "Mackerville."
