Lest We Forget
Lucky Dog Ranch
Lucky Dog Ranch opened in the Spring of 2025, with a mission to save as many dogs as we can. A unique non-profit rescue and sanctuary, designed to reduce the stress that is typical in a traditional shelter. Our goal is to find dogs who have had a tough life- abused, abandoned, scared, lonely... and give them a place where they can thrive and become great family members to a Lucky new home.
Each guest at Lucky Dog has their own soundproof house- complete with a bed, chair, tv, heat and air conditioning. This will get them acclimated to home living for their FUREVER family. They also have a doggy door, which leads to their own fenced in yard, complete with artificial turf. Daily walks and playtime are a must here at Lucky Dog Ranch, and with 40 sprawling acres of wooded trails and agility obstacles, there is definitely plenty of fun to be had every day! Our volunteers can be caught snuggling in these cozy cottages watching cartoons with the pups, giving them golf cart rides, or wandering through The Woods on a daily adventure. Every Lucky Dog is up-to-date on shots, definitely spoiled, and ready for adoption. These pups are ready to warm your hearts and your homes.

St. Joseph Youth Sports Foundation
The St. Joseph Youth Sports Foundation was founded as a 501c3 Nonprofit organization in 2021 to oversee the planning, funding, and construction of a handicap accessible sports facility and community park. Upon completion, it will be turned over to St. Joseph Charter Township. While the Township will be responsible for maintaining the park, SJYSF will continue to oversee expansions, improvements, and additional fundraising.
Our foundation mission is to ensure that every child, regardless of financial or physical ability, is able to participate in organized sports. We want to make sure that youth programs in our area don't have to cap enrollment numbers due to a lack of available field space. We want to keep facility costs for organizations low so that these costs are not passed on to participants. We want to make pracitice space more accessible and more inviting to coaches so they will want to volunteer their time. And, we want children with disabilities to have the option to play in a space that was created for them. Most importantly, we want to create a space that everyone feels welcome and that represents our community! Our current site plan has 5 rocket football fields, 4 baseball/softball fields, indoor batting cages, pavilion area, playground, splash pad, and a walking trail with fitness stops that are all handicap accessible. One of the softball fields will be a designated Miracle League field with a special composite turf that allows for wheelchair accesibility.
